Panama City Beach Sunset

My family and I are here escaping the ice storms in Kentucky. It is going to be 74 and Sunny here today. I wonder how everyone is doing back in Kentucky?

I’d rather be on the beach at Calypso. It is a tail freezing 22 degrees outside in Madisonville KY right now. The forecast temperatures for next week in Panama City Beach are Monday 66, Tuesday 48, Wednesday 65, Thursday 74, Friday 74, Saturday 74, Sunday 71. It kind of makes me ill to go outside here.

Lucinda and I own a new condo at Calypso Resort and Tower. When we went to see the condo, we also paid a visit to Pier Park which is just across the street for the most part. We ate at a few restaurants there during our stay, but I wanted to share one of those experiences with you.

We love Italian food. We cook it at home quite often. When we found Guglielmos Italian Grill and Pizza at Pier Park, we asked ourselves just how good could over commercialized Italian food be (think Fazolli’s and Olive Garden)?

Boy were we suprised. The menu offered a great selection and the portions were large enough to share. We both had pasta dishes (don’t remember exactly right now) and a bottle of wine.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive to the point of joking and cutting up with us, the food was great, and the price was cheaper than eating at Jimmy Buffet’s place at Pier Park. We had a total “foodgasm”!!

I reccommend this place to anyone who gets tired of the trite seafood fare served up at all of the restaurants in Panama City beach. We truly enjoyed it. We ate there twice during our stay of one week.

When you get down to Panama city Beach, stop in and eat at Guglielmos Italian Grill, and if you need a place to stay, we can take care of that too
